The
Swift County Historical Society offers a variety of programs throughout
the year. An annual program is the “Tribute to Our Veterans”
program which is held at the museum on the Thursday evening nearest
to Memorial Day.
Educational
programs at the museum include the annual “School Week”
for 3rd & 6th grade students of the county; Benson 2nd grade
students & grandparents tour & program; History programs
geared for adults.
The
society also provides “Outreach Programs” such as
the Historic Style Show given at the annual Harvest Fest in Appleton
the first week end of August. The society has given “Outreach
Programs” for organizations, rest homes and senior housing,
churches, schools, etc.
The
staff is open to giving a program on almost any historical topic
as long as they have at least one month notice to allow time for
research. People interested in an “Outreach Program”
should contact the museum at (320) 843-4467 and ask for Marlys.
